Statistics

This week we thought we’d look at how often some more uncommon units or strategies are used.

54

Motherships built this week

109

Brood Lords built

19% of Zergs built Brood Lords in ZvP

In games over 18 minutes

On top of that, we pulled some statistics about how nice and well-mannered players participating in the ladder challenge are by analyzing the chat logs.

Percent of games with GG
54.5%
Protoss GG36%
Terran GG38%
Zerg GG38.7%

Additionally, 21 replays mentioned hacking or cheating! Sc2replaystats.com would like to encourage everyone to treat your fellow players with respect. It may not matter to you personally; but some people really value meeting friendly people on the ladder. As always, let us know what statistics you would like to see in the next update!

Special Replays

In addition to the usual chattiest replay & longest replay, we wanted to pull some replays that showed examples of good play such as recovering from bad situations and good macro.

Highest supply at 10 minutes

A barcode Zerg reaches 130 supply at 10 minutes to take the award this week: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/494727

He hit his injects almost perfectly and overran his Protoss opponent with purely Roaches. The replay is an excellent example of winning with pure macro mechanics.

Chattiest Replay

http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/491027 – After asking his opponent what he did wrong, Psycholord then says all of his advice is wrong. Then he rants about how his opponent doesn’t use “real builds” whereas he does; and wont modify them to fit new situations.

A great example of why “real builds” aren’t the only important thing for winning in SC2.

Most workers lost by winning player

http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/495793 –  Crazy takes the game despite losing 131 SCVs!

Thanks for reading this week’s ladder challenge update! If you have any suggestions; let us know.

Good luck on the ladder
