Special Replays

This week, we pulled the longest replay, the replay with the most chat, and a replay with a hero unit.

  • The longest game: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/458521 this scrappy 1 hour and 30 minute Platinum TvZ ended in both players having only one base remaining, having had their orginal bases gutted by each other. The replay also qualified for the Hero Unit replay, with one siege tank earning himself 480 locust kills. Although it’s no pro-level game, it’s an amusing game to watch — especially when scumbag JensM lies about his gas count to try and trick the other player into leaving. For shame.
  • The chattiest game: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/459428 In this replay, JoeKickass and Heartolion (probably the two nicest players to ever meet on the ladder) show you how to have fun at Starcraft. Unconcerned with losing or winning (as demonstrated by their excessive chatter) both players treat each-other kindly even when brutally annihilating each other with seeker missiles and fungal growths. The aptly named JoeKickass even gave up his Diamond rank to play random; simply because it’s more fun. Everybody should be more like JoeKickass and Heartolion.
  • The hero unit game: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/452846 a Hero Colossus gains 191 kills in this back-and-forth epic PvZ — unfortunately mostly in locusts. This game keeps you guessing until the last second, as the Protoss player tries everything from Carriers to a Mothership, and the Zerg player attempts anything from Ultralisks to Mutalisks as these players desperately try to crack each other.

Let us know what stats you would like to see in future updates, and what kind of replays you would like picked out – like replay with x ability casted the most amount of times, or average game length when x number of a certain unit is built – and we will try and bring them to the next update!

Remember to check out the in-game group: starcraft://group/1/190034 and find yourself a practice buddy, or to participate in in-game evens like Replay Nights.

Keep up the good work, and get that promotion!
