Progress Update

The progress story for this week is from Nightshark, who comments:

I decided to do the ladder challenge to give myself motivation for this season. I have been in gold since June 2013 until the start of this season. Yesterday I hit diamond.

Cheers. I recommend it to everyone. There’s no magic build, race, strategy, etc that will get you where you want to be… just good old fashion practice, which the ladder challenge gives good motivation to do.

This week, we pulled statistics for the fastest third base from a Protoss and most Supply Drops and MULEs in a single game.

The fastest third base was from Burny, starting at 5:51 in a Diamond level PvZ: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/613045

Most MULEs in one game rests at 160 from Çiaus: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/608323

Greatest number of supply drops used in one game is from RiceKrispies: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/619115

Special Replays

Remember to tweet your replays to @sc2replaystats on twitter if you want them featured in this post!

Chattiest Replay

This week’s chattiest replay had a participant of DreamHack Open: Summer, Thalandros, telling his tales of watching Jeadong play live and talking to Nathanias! Read the chat log here:  http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/617832 Unfortunately for Thalandros, he was too distracted by the events around him to take the win.

Hero Units: Sentry and Reaper

Hero Reaper: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/600349

Using sick micro, this Reaper acquired countless kills.. but one problem

Roaches at your base, watcha going to do?

Hero Sentry: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/612043

First defending a Speedling all-in and then contributing to several successful attacks, this sentry gained 23 kills!

Sentries are a necessity vs Speedling all-ins. /badpun

Lowest combined supply past 20 minute mark

The goal of this statistic was to find games where players utterly gutted each other but the game kept going.

Our first replay, UncleRukus vs Jorsin, succeeds at that: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/599922

This outstanding Silver league game is beyond words, so we’ve made an image gallery to show you it instead: http://imgur.com/a/Esu5i

The second game, Rasco vs TiMaZe, is almost as good: http://sc2replaystats.com/replay/617229 as two Diamond level players fight to the last structure: http://imgur.com/a/A2mvJ

That’s all for this week! Tell us what you’d like to see for next week’s update, and keep pushing yourself to reach a higher goal!

Good luck!
